Gastown, Vancouver
Tomorrow will be an especially busy day in Vancouver in addition to the excitement of Olympic fever. The Lunar Festival/Chinatown parade has been moved up to 9:30am so as not to conflict with the extra festivities but the Women's Memorial March organizers have refused to change the location, time and date of the event which will go on as scheduled from Main and Hastings at 1PM. Along with traffic diversions, tourists, and any unscheduled demonstrations, it will be a full day.
I am posting pictures from last year's Lunar Festival celebrations at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Today is the last day of the Year of the Ox but I anticipate the Year of the Tiger festivities which I will not be able to attend.
