A Vancouverite may be able to identify one or two buildings in this shot but most are hard pressed to assess the location from which it was taken, when asked. The depth of field from this angle is pleasantly one-dimensional and disorienting.

Have I mentioned my fascination with all things birds? I am particularly fond of these two inhabitants of the urban cliff side. The buildings are focused and askew as if from an avian point of view, while the pigeons are upright in their command of the foreground. The fuzzy focus, although unintended, makes them appear to have superimposed themselves onto the picture.
