This is the colour of Olympic volunteers and they are everywhere. Ironically the owners of this teal abode, off Commercial Drive, re-painted it beige last year. I was reluctant to be happy about the change, even knowing the house needed maintenance, because they defaulted predictably to a neutral shade but now that downtown is awash in turquoise, walking around with cell phones and Starbucks cups, I accept ... change. Happily, they did not paint the little gate, yet.
